Sustainability and innovation at the heart of our strategy.
The "Green Diligent Growth" Business Plan confirms our commitment to strengthening infrastructure and adopting innovative solutions for a more efficient and sustainable management of water resources.
The investments planned by the Group support the country's development and aim to ensure access to water for the more than 20 million people we serve every day in Italy and worldwide.
Among the large strategic works at national level, the project to double the Peschiera-Capore aqueduct stands out.
The project, with an exstimated value of 1.5 billion euros, includes the creation of a new tunnel approximately 27 km long, which will ensure the water supply of Rome by connecting the Peschiera springs to the intersection of the aqueducts at the Salisano junction.
681 million euros from the NRRP have been allocated to the water sector to support the implementation of strategic interventions.
Acea Ato 2, the Group company that manages the Integrated Water Service in the capital and in the metropolitan area, is already working - thanks to part of these funds - on optimising adduction and distribution networks, sewerage and treatment services, and water loss reduction processes through digitalisation.
Through our subsidary companies in Latin America, we aim to grow in the water sector also outside Italy.
To do so, we explore new opportunities in international markets by partecipating in tenders, supporting central and local institutions, and evaluating potential investement scenarios in Europe, the Middle Eastern and Africa, also within the framework of the Mattei Plan.

It is the first operational tool developed in-house to optimise the distribution of investments across the areas where we manage.
Thanks to close collaboration among the various professionals within our team, we have created an advanced planning environment capable of transforming the vast amount of data we receive every day from sensors installed in our plants and across the network into an operational framework that can precisely identify priorities and the actions required to achieve our goals: a flexible tool that enables us to optimise our investments based on measurable criteria.
The implementation of the tool allows us, on the one hand, to reduce the water abstracted from the environment and, on the other hand, to ensure further efficiency in the service provided.
Our sustainability strategy is in line with the goals set out in the UN 2030 Agenda, with approximately 5.5 billion euros dedicated to industrial investments.
